Come see the Farm Store!
The Farm Store at Old McDonald’s Farm, Inc. offers yet another educational opportunity for students and provides us the chance to raise funds for our children’s programs. Students get the chance to learn the connection between the products from the animals, grown in the garden or made from natural resources and selling at the store. Ultimately, this is the last step to products ending up at consumer’s homes and on their tables.
Working at the Farm
Store is also an interesting, hands-on way to teach math, money handling and retail skills to our students. Shop for hand-made soap, wool from our sheep and other products made from sheep and goats, homemade jams, check out our antiques and collectables, purchase seasonal berries (fresh or frozen), vegetables, herbs, Christmas trees and wreaths and other hand-crafted items.
Store Hours:
The store is open anytime the Farm is open for children’s programs, open house dates (see Farm Family Picnic Package), special events such as with weddings or family reunions, Pumpkin Pick event or during the Christmas tree sales.
