Day Visit Packages
Program packages begin between 9:00 and 11:00 a.m.
Partial Payment is acceptable or Scholarships are almost always available. Please make
arrangements with OMF staff. No student will be turned away due to financial constraints.
The accompanying adults are all "Adult
Educators". Adults will be asked to teach students
in small groups, accompany students in
activities and model good, "can do" attitudes
and behaviors. Please let your adults know.
J.P. Morgan Package
The J.P. Morgan Package is designed and well suited to educationally stimulate
elementary, junior high and high school students.
- You can expect an Orientation, Safety Rules, receive Farm Activity Books,
explore eight Learning Centers, have Lunch at the Farm and lastly, time for Processing
and Evaluation.
- Minimum number of 10 students is required to run this program.
- No charge for adult "educators" 18 and over
10 to 50 kids, $6 per student Approximately 3 hours
Wellington Package
The Wellington Package is recommended for children in kindergarten or special needs students.
The Wellington package can also be a shortened version of the J.P. package for groups with
time constraints.
- Orientation, Safety Rules, receive Farm Activity Books, explore four Learning
Centers followed by time for Processing and Evaluation.
- Minimum number of 10 students is required.
- No charge for adult "educators" 18 and over
10 to 32 kids, $5 per student
Approximately 1.5 hours
Morning Chores Package
The Morning Chores Package is an intense educational opportunity. Recommended for students 5 and above.
- Learn nutritional needs, and how to feed and care for all types of livestock.
- Learn commercial uses of the animals including chickens, pig, goats, horses and
cow.
- Learn the names and breeds of the animals and the countries where the breeds
originated.
- Learn to approach and communicate with a variety animals on the farm by spending
time with them in their own farm habitat.
- Ask family or friends to join you.
1 to 4 people $35, 5 to 9 people $45
Approximately 2 hours.
Duck Day Visit Package
This package is designed to give young children their first exposure to the farm.
It is designed for preschool children that are 4-5 years of age or large groups
of folks with time constraints. Great hands-on opportunities to meet and greet some
of our 30+ resident farm animals are available. Plus, children will enjoy sitting
on an antique tractor and planting seeds in the dirt.
10 to 30 kids, $4 per student. Approximately 1 hour.
General Information
- To better serve you, the staff at OMF may modify contents or length of packages
depending on the configuration of the group.
- Please split groups into equal, small groups ranging from 5 to 7 students. Due to space
constraints, the maximum number of adults per small group is 1 please. Students younger than
first grade or special needs students may require a higher adult/child ratio, please discuss
this with the OMF staff before you arrive.
- Please call if you have a special program request, we will try to accommodate you.
- Please ask us about our year-round programs offered at OMF, especially our Summer
Programs.
- Proceeds from the sale of items in our Farm Store benefit the children and youth at OMF.
