The Morning Chores package is an amazing, educational opportunity for a small group or family.
* Learn nutritional needs and how to feed and care for all types of livestock.
* Learn commercial uses of the animals including chickens, pig, goats, horses and cow.
* Learn the names and breeds of the animals and the countries where the breeds originated.
* Learn to approach and communicate with a variety of farm animals by spending time with them in their own farm habitat.
The Morning Chores package is recommended for children as young as five and their families and friends. It is approximately two hours in length. To run the Morning Chores package we need from one to ten people maximum. We have been strongly persuaded to offer this class to more people at one time but we will only serve up to 12 people, past that it is just not appropriate.
Program Dates:
Program start times are generally between 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. and can be scheduled usually on Tuesdays through Saturdays. If these days are not an option then we can try to schedule on a Monday. We have taught this class during the “off season” for hearty folks but usually we are the busiest April through October.
Program Cost:
For up to five people, the cost is $35.00 per class and up to ten people, the cost is $45 per class. You can split the ride and keep the cost down by asking friends to join you. For each extra person (up to 12 only) we charge $5 per person. To enhance the educational opportunities of children, adults will be asked to join students in activities and model good, “can do” attitudes and behaviors.

Who can attend?
The Morning Chores package was designed for children who are five and above and their friends and families.
What can I expect?
Upon arrival you can expect an Orientation and Safety rules, be introduced to the Farm Activity Books, and then meet and feed most of the farm animals. This is a unique opportunity for a small group. Lastly, we will discuss what the students learned during Wrap-Up Talk Time. Students will also receive an age appropriate Farm Activity Book to take home with them for further study. We have five difficulty levels of the Farm Activity Books from non-reader on up to High School age, so students will be engaged and challenged.
What to bring?
Dress in appropriate “farm” attire (tied on sturdy shoes or boots, coats, long pants, etc.) and for the weather. No sandals, open-toed or open-heeled shoes allowed. Corbett is generally colder than in town so please always bring a jacket. And please do not forget to bring an OMF student permission slip per student.
Need help with transportation?
