2010 - The Jr.Vet. Equine Camp

The Jr. Vet. Equine Camp allows student the opportunity to learn to appropriately approach, lead, handle, discipline if need be, mount and dismount and ride a horse. We teach equine care and health needs, horse anatomy and tack identification, and so much more. Research shows that working with livestock, especially horses, has a positive and lasting impact on students. The ability to focus, be less anxious, display faster reflexes, communicate more effectively and the ability to improve cognitive processes are examples of this positive impact.  The Jr. Vet. Equine Camp will provide students with an enriching, educational farm experience with a focus on horse husbandry and horse health.  Transportation is available from the Lloyd Center area.
