Day Visit Program

The Day Visit Program packages are available to schools, agencies, groups and families.

OMF programs including the Day Visit Program are designed so teachers can work towards Benchmarks for the state regulated CIM/CAM (Certificate of Initial Mastery and Certificate of Advanced Mastery) for their students.

Program packages generally begin between 9:00 and 11:00 a.m.

J.P. Morgan package
The J.P. Morgan Package is designed and well suited to educationally stimulate elementary, junior high and high school students.

* You can expect an Orientation, Safety Rules, receive Farm Activity Books, explore eight Learning Centers, have Lunch at the Farm and lastly, time for Processing and Evaluation.
* Minimum number of 10 students is required to run this program.
* No charge for adult "educators" 18 and over

10 to 50 kids, Approximately 3 hours

Wellington Package
The Wellington Package is recommended for children in kindergarten or special needs students. The Wellington package can also be a shortened version of the J.P. package for groups with time constraints.

* Orientation, Safety Rules, receive Farm Activity Books, explore four Learning Centers followed by time for Processing and Evaluation.
* Minimum number of 10 students is required.
* No charge for adult "educators" 18 and over

10 to 32 kids, Approximately 1.5 hours

Morning Chores Package
The Morning Chores Package is an intense educational opportunity. Recommended for students 5 and above.

* Learn nutritional needs, and how to feed and care for all types of livestock.
* Learn commercial uses of the animals including chickens, pig, goats, horses and cow.
* Learn the names and breeds of the animals and the countries where the breeds originated.
* Learn to approach and communicate with a variety animals on the farm by spending time with them in their own farm habitat.
* Ask family or friends to join you.

1 - 9 people, Approximately 2 hours.

Duck Day Visit Package
The Duck Day Visit package is designed to give young children their first exposure to the farm. It is designed for preschool children that are 4-5 years of age or large groups of folks with time constraints. Great hands-on opportunities to meet and greet some of our 30+ resident farm animals are available. Plus, children will enjoy sitting on an antique tractor and planting seeds in the dirt.

10 to 30 kids, Approximately 1 hour.
